Custom Cabinets
Chester County, PA
Amish-made custom cabinetry built 25 minutes from Exton in our Honey Brook, PA shop. Solid hardwood, handcrafted since 1979, installed by our own crew throughout Chester County.
Chester County homeowners do not have to look far for quality custom cabinetry. Our shop is in Honey Brook, directly on Route 322 between Lancaster County and Chester County. We are closer to most Chester County communities than many Philadelphia-area kitchen design showrooms, and unlike those showrooms, we build the cabinets ourselves.
We are Choice Custom Cabinetry and Design. Founded in 1979 by Levi Stoltzfus, run today by his sons Steve and Leo. Our 20,000 square foot facility in Honey Brook produces solid hardwood cabinetry the same way it has for over four decades: face frames hand-fitted, drawer boxes built with dovetail joinery, finish applied in our dedicated spray department. Everything installed by our own crew, not subcontractors.
We build the full range of residential cabinetry, from kitchen renovations and bathroom vanities to custom built-ins, mudrooms, pantries, wine rooms, and home offices. Every project is designed specifically for your room and your taste. No catalog, no standard options forced to fit.

Exton sits at the center of Chester County’s most active renovation market, at the intersection of Route 30 and Route 100. The mix of newer construction, established neighborhoods, and Main Line-adjacent housing stock makes it one of our most requested installation areas. We have a dedicated page for Exton with project examples and specific details about working in that community.
Chester County has one of the most varied residential markets in southeastern Pennsylvania. Understanding what that means for cabinet work helps explain why custom construction makes more sense here than almost anywhere else in the region.
West Chester Borough, Phoenixville, Kennett Square, and Coatesville have substantial historic housing stock dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. These homes have non-standard ceiling heights, walls that have settled over two centuries, and kitchens that were retrofitted into spaces not originally designed for them. Standard-sized cabinets require awkward filler strips and never quite fit. Custom cabinets built to the actual measurements of the room are the only way to get a result that looks intentional.
The communities along and adjacent to the Main Line, including Malvern, Berwyn, Devon, Paoli, and Wayne, tend to have substantial homes with well-proportioned rooms and homeowners who invest in quality materials throughout. These projects are well suited to full custom cabinetry in premium wood species. The dark charcoal kitchen with Lacanche range and Calacatta marble we completed in Chester County is a good example of what this market produces. See our navy kitchen project for a sense of how ambitious these renovations can be.
The development-built homes throughout the Route 30 and Route 100 corridors tend to have more standard dimensions. These projects are often well-served by our semi-custom line, which uses the same solid hardwood construction and dovetail drawer boxes as full custom at a lower price point and with faster lead times of 3 to 5 weeks.
Chester County has significant rural housing stock in the southern townships near Kennett Square, Avondale, and Landenberg. Stone and frame farmhouses here often rival Lancaster County homes for the construction challenges they present: low ceiling heights, thick walls, uneven floors. Our craftsmen handle this routinely. Understanding the specific quirks of older construction is part of what 45 years of building in this region teaches you. Read more about floor-to-ceiling cabinetry in older homes for how we approach ceiling height variations.
We install throughout Chester County. Our Honey Brook shop is on the Lancaster County border, which puts most Chester County communities within 30 minutes of our facility.
We also regularly serve Coatesville, Thorndale, Avondale, Landenberg, Oxford, and the southern Chester County townships. For the areas bordering Montgomery County, including Wayne and Ardmore, we serve those communities as part of our Philadelphia and Main Line work. Contact us at (610) 273-2907 if you are not sure whether your area is within our standard installation range.

Full custom solid hardwood kitchen cabinets from our shop run $15,000 to $45,000 installed for most Chester County kitchen projects. Larger kitchens with premium wood species and inset construction go above that. Semi-custom solid wood cabinets start lower.
These are complete installed prices. Design, production, finishing, delivery, and installation are all included. Countertops, appliances, plumbing, and electrical are not part of the cabinet quote.
The most accurate number for your specific project comes from a consultation. See our buy vs build guide for context on how custom pricing compares to showroom semi-custom and big-box alternatives.
